Donate Today to Send a Deserving CNA to CNA Fest 2023

The CNA Careforce deserves your support.

On July 26 and 27 this year, NAHCA, the CNA Association, will host first CNA Fest since 2019 to honor, recognize, and educate certified nursing assistants (CNAs) from around the country.

Unlike many other professionals who work in long-term and post-acute care, CNAs cannot afford to attend a conference on their own. While NAHCA has made the registration as affordable as possible, there are still many CNAs who do not earn a living wage, or even minimum wage, which makes it very difficult for them to pay for registration and a flight to Little Rock, where the conference will be held.

As the only conference focused on CNAs and the work they do, CNA Fest is designed be a place where CNAs can grow both personally and professionally, make new friends, and recharge their shared passion for caring for people. There is likely no other group of direct care professionals in long-term services and supports who deserve to have the opportunity to experience CNA Fest than the CNAs who served on the front lines of the war against Covid-19.

We are therefore asking you to donate $1,200 to help send one CNA to CNA Fest. This amount covers the cost of one CNA's hotel, meals, and transportation from and to the airport, as well as airfare. There are very few conferences out there as reasonable as CNA Fest, and yet, many CNAs cannot afford to pay on their own.

Here are some more reasons why you should support a CNA's attendance to CNA Fest:

  • It demonstrates your commitment to recognizing and appreciating CNAs, the people who spend the most time with residents and are compassionately committed to their quality care;

  • If you're a nursing home owner or operator, it show the entire care team that you care about the people who work for you;

  • It gives CNAs the opportunity to recharge and refresh so that they return to work with a renewed sense of commitment not only to residents and patients, but also an appreciation of their employers:

  • For CNA team members who win a Key to Quality Award, their centers can boast about it to their local press and gain some earned media and positive PR.

  • You will feel good about doing something great for someone who truly deserves it.

CNA Fest includes two full days of camaraderie, education, and recognition at The Vines Center, which is nestled in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains just 10 miles west of Little Rock, Ark. A central feature of the conference is the Key to Quality Awards event, which recognizes CNAs for their noble and humanitarian service to older adults and individuals with disabilities.

The cost of registration to attend the conference covers lodging and food for the entire stay. For more details about CNA Fest, click HERE.
